This expedition follows Trent Wiebe (Canada) and Rob Simons (Netherlands)
as they attempt to cycle across the America's.
The trip is personally funded and will entail us riding self
sufficiently throughout Canada, USA , Mexico, Central America
and South America. The departure date will be May 18/01 from the
city of Dawson Creek, B.C. Canada with the hopes of finishing
at the southern tip of South America. Our progress can be followed
on the Route Map.
We will be riding modified mountain bikes, pursuing our love
to travel combined with the added mental and physical test of
this endevour. Our hopes are to "tread lightly" through numerous
country backroads as well as fast paced city chaos all to discover
the unknown adventure which may lie ahead. We can only expect
to touch these places and people briefly in hopes of better understanding
some of the other cultures beyond our own.
